The Trucking Industry has one immensely crucial yet overlooked component i.e. The Truck Drivers themselves. While moving nearly 70% of the country’s total freight tonnage, these drivers travel the country in grueling journeys to anywhere and everywhere. Driving for nearly 11 hours alone, this is a job which needs to be applauded and supported by all means possible and One20 has just gone a step further in doing that by introducing it’s unprecedented 24/7 Roadside Assistance Program in collaboration with RoadsideMasters.com
A free silver level roadside assistance service will be available to more than 350,000 drivers, starting from Aug 1, 2017. These drivers, who are part of One20 communities, will get a wide and impressive range of roadside assistance benefits as part of this program and these include, but are not limited to the following services:
- Truck and trailer towing
- Flat tire change
- Tire repair
- Mobile mechanic service
- Jump starts
But that’s not it when it comes to the incentives!
Added coverage and services will be available under the tutelage of the Gold and Premium Service. Depending on the usage of different products and services, other One20 members will be entitled to additional and special roadside assistance services as well.
Drivers or fleet owners, who buy the special flag ship One20 F-ELD tablet before the start of September, will be entitled to a Gold Level Service automatic upgrade. Gold Level services will also be available to Silver level users at a discounted price within this period.
And the benefits partnership flows both ways as members of RoadsideMasters will also have a lot of incentive based options available to them during this period. They will get exclusive access to Free Truck-Safe Navigation and a great discount on the flagship F-ELD tablet by One20.
The window for availing this program will be from Aug 1 – Sept 1, 2017.
This program will mark a huge change in how the driver community is starting to be valued more and provided with more benefits. There is a more urgent need to address more and more issues that the drivers face, because the industry is already facing a huge demand-supply gap in terms of driver shortage and mostly because the younger generations, including Millennials, are not highly interested in taking up such a job with low incentives and a lot of hard work.
The One20 and RoadsideMasters partnership is not just a business venture or an exclusive marketing maneuver, but it also has a significant standing towards being the path breaker for making drivers feel more valued by adding services that have a real time impact on their lives.
Initiatives like these should be promoted more so that other similar firms could enter the market and start bringing in those long awaited benefits to make the lives of these hard working drivers a little better.
